Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026
This policy explains what the STAMP mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”) collect, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how you delete it. It applies to every user of the Service, including athletes under 18 and the parents or guardians who consent on their behalf.
The short version
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app — see Deleting your account.
- Athletes under 13 cannot create an account, and 13–17 year olds require verified parent or guardian consent.
1. Who we are
STAMP (“STAMP”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Service. If you have any question about this policy or about your data, write to support@getstamped.ai — a person reads that inbox.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what the Service needs to function. The table below mirrors the disclosures on our App Store privacy label.
| Category | What it includes | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, username, hashed password, account role | To create and secure your account and sign you in |
| Athlete profile | Name, date of birth, sport, position, school, graduation year, height, weight, state, avatar | To rank you against the right peer group and confirm your age eligibility |
| Performance data | Drill attempts, times, measurements, personal bests, ratings, verification tier | To produce your results, rating, and leaderboard placement — the core purpose of the Service |
| Video & photos | Drill recordings you capture, and images you choose to attach | To time an attempt accurately and to allow a coach to verify it |
| Motion & sensors | Accelerometer and gyroscope readings during a drill | To measure acceleration and sprint splits while you are recording |
| Approximate location | Coarse location, only when you are running a drill | To adjust results for altitude and conditions, and to place you on state-level boards |
| User content | Team chat messages, feed posts, comments, coach notes | To deliver the social and coaching features you use |
| Device & diagnostics | Device model, OS version, app version, crash and error logs | To keep the app stable and fix defects |
Device permissions
iOS asks before granting each of the following, and you can withdraw any of them at any time in the Settings app. Declining a permission disables the related feature but does not close your account.
- Camera — to record and verify drill performance.
- Microphone — for countdown and coaching audio on a recording.
- Motion & fitness — to measure acceleration and sprint splits.
- Photo library — to export or attach your player card and clips.
- Location (while in use) — to adjust metrics for altitude and weather.
3. How we use information
- To operate your account, profile and player card.
- To calculate results, composite ratings, percentiles and leaderboard standings.
- To run the verification process, including review of your capture by a verified coach.
- To deliver features you initiate — teams, challenges, messaging and events.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraudulent results, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To fix bugs and improve performance.
- To comply with law.
We do not use your personal information for behavioral advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. What is visible to other people
STAMP is partly a public ranking product, so it is worth being precise about what other users can see:
- Public by design: your username, avatar, sport, position, graduation year, state, verified results, verification tier, composite rating and leaderboard placement.
- Visible to people you choose: team members see your roster metrics and team chat; a coach you submit to sees the capture you submitted and their own notes; anyone you send a player card to sees that card.
- Never public: your email address, password, date of birth, and parent or guardian contact details.
Where the app offers a visibility control for a piece of content, that control governs. Removing a result from a leaderboard does not retroactively erase copies another user already exported or shared.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who run our infrastructure under contract and may not use your data for their own purposes — currently Amazon Web Services (application hosting and database), Cloudflare (video and media storage and delivery), and Expo (app delivery and updates).
- Coaches and teams you choose to interact with, as described in section 4.
- Other users, limited to the public information described in section 4.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of a person, particularly a minor.
- A successor entity in a merger or acquisition, under the terms of this policy.
6. Athletes under 18
The Service records video of young athletes, so we treat age with care.
- Under 13: account creation is blocked. We ask for a date of birth during onboarding, and an entered age below 13 stops the signup. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- 13 to 17: a parent or guardian must consent before the account can be used. This gate is enforced on our servers, not only on the device, so it cannot be bypassed by reinstalling the app or clearing local storage.
- Parent and guardian access: a linked parent or guardian can review the athlete’s profile and results, and can request correction or deletion at any time by writing to support@getstamped.ai.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete the account and its data promptly.
7. Deleting your account
How to delete your STAMP account and data
- Open the STAMP app and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. The request is processed immediately.
No app access? Email support@getstamped.ai from the address on the account and we will complete the deletion within 30 days, and normally within 48 hours.
Deleting your account removes your profile, your attempts and measurements, your uploaded video and media, your leaderboard entries, and your messages and posts. Some records are retained where the law requires it, and backups age out on a rolling schedule of no more than 90 days. Aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you may be retained.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive for 36 months we may delete it after giving notice to the email address on file. Video evidence attached to a verified result is retained while that result stands, because it is the proof behind the number.
9. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Session tokens are held in the device’s secure keychain. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit, and media is stored on access controlled object storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and comparable jurisdictions have these rights under state privacy law; residents of the EEA and UK have them under the GDPR.
Most of these you can exercise yourself in the app: your profile is editable, and account deletion is in Settings. For anything else, write to support@getstamped.ai and we will respond within 30 days. We will not deny you service or degrade your experience for exercising a privacy right.
11. International users
The Service is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy law may differ from the law of your country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. When we make a material change we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after that point means you accept the updated policy.
